One of the best reasons for repairing a stone chipped windshield (aside from the cost) is that the original seal and bond between the glass and the vehicle body is very difficult to duplicate when the windshield has to be replaced. Unfortunately some times the minor stone damage is more severe than what our repair process can safely handle and total windshield replacement is the only option. It takes special urethane adhesives and primers, and special training in how to use these adhesives, and proper environmental conditions to duplicate the original factory bond and seal. We feel that windshield repair should always be your first choice when ever possible.
